If you have anbundance of straw....After make some spawnned straw casings...

But you have like 12 1/2 pint jars you could use too. Coulden't I cut the straw up into 1-2 inch pieces, get the right moisture level in it by soaking it and draining it. Then fill the jars up with it and put the layer of verm ontop. Then innoculate. When colonized take the straw water from when you pasturized the straw for casings and dunk the straw pf cakes after every flush. Re-hydrating them and adding some nutrients at the same time. Would this work?

I see what you want to do but how are you going to keep your old pasturization water from becoming stagnant?

Refridgerate it? I have no clue how that works. Or mabye you could use birdseed inplace of the brf too. Use birdseed and verm.

I'm currently experimenting with a mixture of straw and birdseed at about 40/60. I soaked the birdseed for about 24 hours in water I used to pastuerize some straw. I then took left over straw and mixed with birdseed in pint jars, PCed and innoculated with creeper. So far its worked out good, it seems to be colonizing faster than some other pints of creeper on regular birdseed soaked in tap water, but not too much faster so it's hard to say wether or not the straw really did much good.
