Hey there, Shroomery.
I'm having problems with my cakes.
I received a print and made my spore srynge, inoculated some BRF+Verm full pint jars. (Then I realized i should have used half pint jars) In about three weeks they where full colonized (at temps between 75 - 84 f, full darkness) with no sign of pinning, i decided to wait for one week. Still no pinning, so i waited some more and i birthed them when water was accumulated at the bottom of them. I dunked one of the four of them, no pins and no contams yet (fruitng chamber at 99% RH, perlite, 74-79.9f, 12/12 light and darkness, FAE 5-6 times a day, misting), after one week, i dunked all of them, cut one horizontally in three parts and did my best on rolling, but the vermiculite didn't stick to the cakes very well, 1 week later, i mean, right now, I still don't see any pins, but there are some myc growing at the top layer of vermiculite of one of the cakes, with some rhizomorphic shapes, im afraid it could be cobweb. I used distilled water for everything. The cakes still smell pleasantly shroomy to me.
Please help, I searched the forums, my resources are very limited, so i can't buy anything right now, and I dont have a camera, so I can't take any pictures. Please help, or advice.
And sorry for my english.
4 days ago, I inoculated some half pint Rye Flour + Verm jars with Thai strain, i hope to have best luck with this one.

OK before i begin Here. From what I was reading where you waiting for Pins to form inside of the jars while they were colonizing?
And Well I am no expert but Heres what could of happen.
You either left them in the jars for too long and the cakes dried out. From the way you wrote what happen I think Your saying you left them in the jars And was waiting to see pinning before you Birth them.
If so, then that wasn't quite right you usually let them colonize then wait about a week then birth. But before you birth you DUNK and ROLL for 24 hours or 12 hours it doesn't matter.
But umm yeaa. Anything nothing to wrong with full pint jars they would work just as good.

When did you put the cakes into the FC? I mean, how long ago?

But the dunk and roll process is really important and that layer of verm you roll it in really helps.

You made some mistakes. You have to wait at least two weeks! Sometimes they can take up to 3 weeks. Your fruiting parameters are good. Why did you cut that cake? Also: no need to colonize in total darkness. 84F is way too hot. You don't have to wait for pins after full col is reached. Just wait another week, that's all. ALWAYS, always dunk and roll. Now let them sit in your FC and do not move them around. GL

Just wanted to get tiny shrooms in that one, and also I was afraid they weren't consolidated throroughly.
And thanks.

So, one of the parts I cut has started to grow some healthy brown headed pins, sadly, it's the only one, the others had started to grow some more white myc like substance.
I thought it was cobweb, so i applied some H2O2 over it last night (here it 9:51 am, right now), and it didn't go away.
I'm worried, the only cake that doesn't have that white myc is the one that's fruiting.
What do you guys think, should i isolate the fruiting cake? The others are contaminated? Help!

Thanks, I'm uploading a picture later today. And I will isolate the healthy cake at once.
