If it happens at the innoc points, one of two things:

1) you are introducing something when you innoculate
2) the extra water introduced during innoculation is allowing something in the substrate to grow

More data = more help :smile:

contammed syringe, or contams being introduced from the needle are most likely.

It could be lack of sterilzation of substrate and just the extra water kicks it off. Most likely one of the first 2.

then chances are that the substrate isnt fully sterile... used to get probably the same viscous red shit that you are getting, turned out that the PC wasnt getting hot enough... how clean is yr environment? could be (not terribly likely) airborne...... more info?

id definitely recommend it... theyre good to have anyway and if you check thrift stores youll probably find one cheep... but if youve got the cash its a good investment...
