A drip shield takes up space and is unnecessary.

yeah mine has no drip shield, Also i connect tubeing directly from my humidifier to the terrarium, i don't see any need to run the tubeing through a series of 2 liter bottles. my terrarium works very well. I turn the humidifier on full blaste for a few hours every day, just after fanning. And it stays very moist real nice results. i will post some picts of my next project after i cop a digi camra off my friend.

If you're using perlite, don't bother putting one in. If you're using perlite don't spray them either. Spraying water can easily "seal" the mycelium. Just birth your cakes in your terrainium and fan from time to time.

Funny, I'd expect a Moderator posting in the Cultivation forums to know that terrainium is not a word.

give Lana a break she is the next best thing to a warm apple pie!

back on topic.
I have never used a drip shield.
I have misted cakes in the past when I did cakes.
and never had bad results from misting them.
