Will there?
    #1197207 - 01/07/03 08:09 AM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Will there ever be a day when the overman is every (wo)man and authority is then a moot issue?

Will there ever be a day when people will take responsibility for all of their actions?

Will there ever be a day when peace has no counterpart?

Will there ever be a day that I lose hope?

The day you lose hope is the day we all lose hope, and that'll never happen.

Sorry man, but I can't time travel to the future to find out.

Isn't quite as it seems?

Is an elaborate dream?

Is it all you want it to be?

That day, is every day in my Never Never Land.

Never Never Land takes place in my future where i join a band of brothers who start our own colony/commune on some isolated land/island.

something's always happening.

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

The world will never be changed by those who would answer the first three questions with a 'no.' Some of the greatest developments to benefit humanity have come from those who are willing to entertain the feasibility of things deemed improbable. Though 'yes' might seem unlikely, if everyone is to dismiss the possibilities, their answers will forever doom us to the 'no.' Never lose hope, for hope is the foundation of human progress.

--------------------
To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

I dont think the world will be changed by people who answer "yes" or "no" to any of these questions. I think it will be changed by those who answer "Maybe"

hi sclorch
your first 3 questions are about ideals. i ponder that ideals are directions to aim for in time. and by directions, i mean outwards, in every direction, like mycellia starting from you.
if you choose to have ideals, you can spread them in proportion to the energy you put into achieving them. the more you introduce people to them, whether verbally or electronically, the more 'seeds' you plant in their minds, the more they spread.
also, by following your chosen ideals, you can build your own ego into a structure of your own choosing. view the different topics you think about as different rooms in a house. the chosen ideals/topics are as decor for the rooms. you can build a beautiful house or a shit-filled dungeon, in time what started as an idea or casual comment can grow to crowd out the other 'rooms', which shrink to make space. i think we call it obsession.
answer to 4th question is yes, briefly, and its gonna hurt.

Good answer, Evolving. [/standing ovation]

I'll share my hope with anyone who answers 'Yes' to my fourth question.
