Either there is some kind of internal noise amplifier which you can turn down

there is.. when i was 17 i was all about "killing the ego"; i meditated 1-2 hours every day (of course missing some sessions) for 6 months while consuming copious amounts of psychedelics.. but the noise amplifier can turn down to the point where silence/quietness/calmness is experienced more frequently during the day.  and the silence has depth (sometimes there will be a huge gap in thought with the physical sensation of moving out of and around the body).

if you've only been meditating 15 mins per day for 2 months, this "quietness" isn't going to last very long throughout the day.

i remember feeling this quietness for days and it brought with it the most immense bliss and joy in life (it still has lasting effects - this is why vipassana retreats are so beneficial).  i'd take day hikes in nature meditatively walking and this led to epiphanies and realizations about why we think and act the way we do.  i'd go up to wild horses and sit with them for a while, and understand to a deeper degree their form of communication.  one horse seemed violent and didn't want me around, but i was fearless and we made friends  deer were more attracted to me and hung around while i was sitting.

i didn't have to work back then and i skipped most of school, so i had the time and motivation to meditate that much.  now, not so much.  hopefully soon though i will get to experience that indescribable feeling of flowering.

this post may seem like bragging but most people seem to misunderstand meditation and im stating what i feel is true and beneficial.

Embrace the noise if noise there is. Or embrace silence if that is what you experience.

that advice is everywhere though.

That in itself must take 50% off the credibility points!

All this time I've loved you
And never known your face
All this time I've missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs

the compounded awareness from absorption really makes the forest and fields very magical.
it also makes ordinary life magical.
unless you do it you don't know what it is.
that is 100% true.
