I woke up three days ago to SEVERE pain in my nose.
I'm talking openen my eyes to "GODDAMMIT WHAT THE FUCK, THIS IS SOOO SHITTY, FUCK WAKING UP, FUCK LIFE, FUCK EVERYONE, WHAT THE FUCK!??!?!?!??!?!?"
It feels like someone punched me right in the center of the face.
I have allergies really bad so now I can't blow my nose and clear mucos is just running. The act of blowing my nose causes soooo much pain it's literally unbearable.
If I don't touch it, it only mildly hurts in the cartlidge in the center down to my front teeth. If I touch it, it feels like I'm tending to a broken bone.
I'm reading some mixed things online about facial cellulites, and staph infections and it's getting me super paranoid.
Anyone else ever had these symptoms?
I'm really thinking about going to the ER when I get off work cause I don't want it to be serious.

Of all the people to reply to a nose thread.
I really think I'm gonna go. I need the ability to blow my nose. I was reading if it's an infection it can lead to the brain.

That's the dumbest fucking advice I've heard.
" hey your nose is swollen to the point you can't inhale or exhale hard? " .............."get some random powder from your dealer, and start hooting it, don't worry bout what it's cut with."
I think some sound medical advice is needed. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this but it seems for the most part it's gotta be some kind of infection.

There are some very strong botanical expectorants that could really draw that mucous out of your sinuses/nasal passages.
Also, steam & essential oil inhalation, 10 drops of eo (eucalyptus (antibiotic & expectorant) & clove (pain relief) is a good combo) in a bowl of steaming water, lean over it with a towel over your head, breathe deeply.
My chronic sinus infections were a major influence my becoming an herbalist, the drugs never worked & the herbs did.
Allergies this time of year? Prob. food allergies ?
Hope the doc figured something out if you went & that any infection is none too mobile.

They gave me antibodies and ultram for the pain.
It's pretty intense still, but starting to diminish. He said it was a sinusitis but it hurts like nothing I've ever felt in my nose.
And yes go on. I am interested in remedies that don't involve a doctor

when i had the flu, i smoked blunts and did about a gram of coke a day
i was healthy within days

Your nose & throat are the only two pathways to expel mucous from the sinuses. Sore throat at all?
Sinus infection often causes dizzyness (pressure in the head) and nausea, as the bacteria & white blood cell (aka pus) laden snot ends up in your stomach.
Remedies are typically three parted, an antibiotic (eucalyptus steam, garlic, oregano or thyme), an expectorant (draws out mucous, including mullein, wild cherry bark, licorice root (also antibacterial & antiviral), coltsfoot- the best is trillium though it is hard to come by) and finally soothing mucilaginous herbs which sooth irritated mucosa, these must be steeped in cold water for an hour (slippery elm bark is best, tilia, even cinnamon).
Spicy expectorants like cayenne, horseradish also increase microvascular circulation and thus bring 'immune cells' to the sinus mucosa. These also help with long term pain after they temporarily irritate (counterirritant).
Steam inhalation with eucalyptus ess. oil, oregano ess. oil will give the strongest immediate effect (5 drops each in 2 cups hot water) they are both strong antibiotics & breathing the steam in through your nose brings it right into the sinuses. Clove helps with pain in the same way. You could even take 5 tablespoons aromatic oregano spice & put it in 2 cups hot water to inhale, & or 1 tablespoon clove herb. Boil the water, pour 2 cups into large bowl, add herbs, ess. oil, towel over your head, inhale steam.
The thing with herbs is that store bought teabags contain way sub-medicinal doses of herb. It takes 3 tablespoons of each of these non-toxic* herbs (1 of each class, antibiotic, expectorant, mucilaginous) per cup of water, 3x per day.
*coltsfoot dose is 1 tbs
Cinnamon dose is 1 tsp
Horseradish/cayenne & garlic (can cause nausea) at your discretion, typical dose is 1 tsp horse. or garlic, pinch of cayenne.
Licorice root dose 1 tbs (& eat a banana that day, potassium sparing herb)
Internally, essential oil doses are different, with eucalyptus, oregano 2 drops of either ess. oil mixed into a tablespoon of olive oil is a strong systemic antibiotic.
You may not believe this until you try it- take a pair of cotton socks & wet them with cold water, wring them out, put them on your feet. Take pair of dry wool socks & put them on over the wet ones, do this right before bed & sleep with it like that. Does something to blood/lymph circulation & really clears ya out.

Cocaine actually used to be a standard us pharmacopeia prescription for such pathologies.
Circulatory stimulant, expectorant & analgesic (pain relief), although it was used in a standardized syrup form & not anymore for a reason in my opinion...
