I just think he lacked of professionalism when asked why he wouldn't legalize marijuana. Weed legalization seems to be a really big debate in the United States (and somehow, more and more people seem to accept marijuana).
I'm sure the video has been projected before your eyes, I can't find it anymore. Anyways, he just laughed at the question like if he was saying ( indirectly ) that the question was asked by stupid stoners.
Great lack of professionalism. Mr. Obama, with all the respect I owe you, if you're to answer these questions, then why are you asking your American nation to ask you questions through internet? Can't you see it's one of the hot topic in politics?
P.S. Yes I think I'm smarter than Obama in what I'll say here: Yes, marijuana legalization will directly and indirectly create jobs. Why are you laughing about this?
if obama told all of the united states he is in support of legalizing marijuana, the majority of americans wouldn't be able to handle it. there would be alot of problems. obama is smarter than that, somehow you don't see it.
besides it's not obama who's directly in control of such things like legalizing pot. he already called off the federal prosecution of MMJ patients. any form of nationwide decriminalization/legalization must start from the states up, not the federal gov't down. if you open your eyes you'll realize we are in the midst of full legalization in atleast 3 states within the next 2 years.
so though i also don't like obama very much, this thread contains more ignorance than his decision to not answer questions about marijuana.

Who cares about the pot? Obama lied to us all like I was saying he would all along.
People are too fucking gullible. We had the chance to actually fix this country with an actually true blue honest politician that cared more for this country than his own life and everyone balked at the idea because it seemed too radical from what we have grown accustomed to. Sad thing is people still don't wanna admit that their choice in voting for Obama was wrong.

That's because I wholeheartedly stand by my decision and frankly, we're much better off under Obama then we would have been under McCain.

I think this. I've been amazed at what, from the outside, seems like a massive swing on cannabis policy in the US. The amount of medical use, state politicians standing up and speaking out in favour, crazy stuff I just never expected.
It all does seem to suggest an underlying softening on the whole issue, subtle and understated, granted, but one that (hopefully!) can only keep swelling.

That's the problem, we always get shit choices. What we get is the latest political hack that the party supports.

we can only blame ourselves though, americans have become apathetic towards the process, now it's always voting for the lesser evil or for the dog that they believe will win, this upcoming elections may prove quite interesting, there's a growing anti-incumbency movement

and?
both voters and politicians who are against marijuana are quickly becoming outnumbered as more and more people are shown the true facts about the plant.
