Hey peeps its been a while.
so after i tried my hand at brf cakes, i was reading about taking cakes and breaking them up and using them in a case. i used 5 small container 3 were clear and two are not. the three clear ones made it threw 2 flushes before i got a contam.
the two red ones well i started thees 6 months ago. Although they are not producing major yeilds like previously i am happy to say they have no contamination and are still producing about one dry ounce every 5-6 days.
one thing i did do becuase it has been cold here is turned off the humidifier its still keeping a 80-90% hunidity. also i am not using any lights i have them in a room with the shades drawn and the only strong light they get is when i am in the room with the lights on.
i was wondering if anyone has had casings last for so long and still produce . i figure if there is no contams and its still producing there is no harm keeping them going as long as i can. being that its cold here im waiting to start more later when it warms up

yeh i think its because right after i cased them and they started to fruit, the weather changed and started getting colder at night so it slowed everything down. like i think i mentioned earlier the flushes haven't been huge any more but they are still producing about 4-5 3gram mushrooms (wet) every 3-5 days. but springs starting soon and i have a feeling thees will putter out soon enough.. then i will have to start making plans for this syringe of PE i have.

with 3g wet every 5-6 days I would just throw them out and start over. it's just a waste of space in the FC. anyway 6 months is very impressive.
