Temp at which SPORES die (in syringe form) not mycelium

Ahoy!
I am a new member to the group, yet a long time browser of the site. I recall reading somewhere, at some time, that spores can take higher temperatures than the 106 degree F temp max that mycelium has, (mycelium death above 106) and it will still be ok to use when some degree of higher temps is reached.
Some guy I know in Japan was inquiring to me about it, and so im just gonna relay his info here. He apperently injected some TC strain into some straight Rye bags, (nothing but sterelized rye, four of them, at 2cc in each, 3 bags had two injection points, at 1cc each. One bag had 4 injection points at half a cc each), and for the first 3 to 4 days the temperature flucuated from being safe (below 88 F) to possibly as high as 102 to 104 F. He apperently is praying to his god that they will be allright.
The higher numbers stated are probly a little higher than it got, but thats what he told me he estimates it at. There was no thermometer available for the initial few days. Now he has a nice in door / out door digitial thermometer plus hydometer. can have temp inside next too bags, and temp outside on desk, weeeee.
He told me that the temps are stable now, right around 88, mostly a bit below. Apperently he wouldn't have been worried, but its been 5 days since injection, and not a bit of action yet. Just very light condensation on the sides of the bags. While it is still very early, he just wanted to make sure that the heat issue at the beggining wasnt going to cauise for alot of needless waiting.
One last question, lets say hypothetically the bags got to 108 F, on day two after injection, would there be no chance, or is there a good chance they are ok since it isn't mycelium yet, and just spores.
Thanks in advance, im not sure what all this means really, I just copied and pasted what he emailed to me. I think it has to do with cooking tv dinners without a microwave.
Thanks again guys!

I did do some reseach. I found a *very* short quote from a ANNO on a post that said the following -
>I read that thermal death occurs at 104F. ANNO- "For mycelium, but not for spores. I guess for spores it?s quite higher. "
This post was located at http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Forum2&Number=691974&Forum=Forum2&Words=thermal%20death&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=2&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=691924&Search=true#Post691974
Anyways, I'll keep lookin, any more info qould be helpfull,

if you see no contams or growth in a week than you might be able to get away with knocnking them up for round number two. and by the way, if you plan on using that digital hygro/thermo for your terrarium, be prepared for the temp unit to quit working-the foafs did after a month or two, but the hygro is awesome.

the foafs humidity/temp gauge was in a terrarium (above 90% rh) and the temp unit in the gauge froze at where it was, came back once or twice then never fixed itself-i am assuming that the humidity did it, but what a dumbass way to build a 2in1 thing that doesnt work in humid areas. Jake H

I think noobie shroomers successfully froze his spores in the freezer and then used them. I can't remember his success though...

Normal indoor room temperature is what you want to grow at. There is no reason to exceed 26C at any time.
Spores die from being exposed to a temperature at or above 140F/60C for an hour. Some die sooner than that, but the above nukes them all. RR
