low air
    #1197598 - 01/07/03 12:38 PM (14 years, 11 months ago)

I have just started a batch of 12 jars.in four of them i used corn/rice chex instead of brown rice flour like the other 8. I am keeping the jars seperated incase something goes wrong with the chex. Has anyone else tried this? Also I am keeping the jars inside rubbermaid bins(not completely airtight) do u think this is ok?
I am concerned because i'm not sure if they need any air at this point.(still in jars)

They really do not need any type of air circulation at this point. Have you covered your innoculation holes with anything (Tape, foil)?

You don't HAVE to.   I always do though, doesn't hurt.
