new syringe
    #1197242 - 01/07/03 10:22 AM (13 years, 10 months ago)

I just got a new syringe from TLG (very quick turnaround, BTW), and it has the dark brown clumps of spores in it that I've seen referenced on here before. The remedy that I've seen is to shake the syringe in order to break up the clumps of spores, but I've just shaken it until it felt like my arm was going to fall off, and though it broke up the clumps a lot they didn't disappear or anything. Is this bad?

Also, I can stick these in the fridge and they'll keep for six months, right? So how long do they keep if they're not refridgerated?

spores are microscopic, so there are plenty in there. just shake it up the best you can then inject. shake between injections.

When the spores are left in the syringe for some time, they form those clumps that are sometimes hard to brake.
Brake them up as much as possible to retain a more even distribution when you inoculate your substrate.

You can leave them in the fridge for even more i guess, but the longer you leave them, the more you walk away from fresh-fast germinating spores.

Generally, the fastest you do everything , the better the results... Just shoot those jars!!!

I have had syringes sit out of the fridge in normal room temp for more than 2 months and they germinated quite fast when i inoculated...

Good luck!
