Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war and until there are no longer first-class and second-class citizens of any nation, until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes

"The people who are trying to make the world worse aren't taking a day off; how can I?" Bob Marley
3 days after he was wounded in an assassination attempt in Jamaica, as he began a concert still while still hurt.
Happy Birthday, Bob. We miss you.

Yah that quote is so epik. How he honestly believed (contrast with people who say it but don't act on it or really believe it aka intellectualize it) through love that u can conquer the evils of the world. Gotta give the man respect.

There's also a story that he was given a pair of boots with a copper wire inside that was treated with a carcinogenic toxin. CIA was out for him. Anyways i read a book about it but i cant find it online Check out this link.

iirc it was agents of the Jamaican government at the time, who saw him as a very visible and too vocal critic...he was attracting even international attention.
i could be wrong tho..
