American imperialism seeks to dominate the globe.

I'm not very well versed on these subjects, mostly just a reader and a screamer.
Here goes.
America's economy is in deepening crisis. Last year, the Dow Jones fell nearly 17%. In December the Dow fell 6%, the sharpest decline since 1931. The total losses on Wall Street met $7 trillion. Last year marked the first time since the Great Depression that there has been a three year decline on Wall Street. The Christmas season showed a sudden decline in the only remaining sect of the economy that had not been affected: consumer spending.
Now, I don't know the fine details of history, but weren't these the prelude to the first world war?
Further, American media seems to be downplaying North Korea's threat to global security. UN inspectors, whom Saddam is cooperating with, report that Iraq is years away from assembling a single nuclear weapon. But Pyongyang, with his Yongbyong reactor complex, could easily assemble 6 nuclear weapons within 6 months. On top of this, Pyongyang has booted UN inspectors out of his country. Wouldn't you say that warrants a little more attention from the Whitehouse?
So you have to ask yourself, what slick black substance sits in the world's second largest abundance beneath Iraqi soil?
If and when the US occupies Iraqi oil fields and removes the Israel's most vehement enemy, the Jewish State will likely inflate it's chest, and draw it's shoulders back in pride. Palestinians will feel the weight of that pride, and newfound anti-Americanism will be seeded all over the east. Attacks on both American military and civilian interests will no doubt escalate.
Additionally, American media's causal reporting of North Korean threats in contrast to the "pressing, immediate" Iraqi threats illustrate the clear intent to manipulate public opinion. The Bush Administration has been doing everything it can to drum up a pretext for war with Iraq. These are things that prefaced the second world war.
Is world war three around the corner?
