Yeah, cause when it slipped out of my mouth that nite I was pimping, it definitely had an air of finality to it. I was like "let's get the fuck out of here and go back to my place, yo"

"Yo" can mark an intended strong change in mood/situation.

is that why people don't like it? Does it make them feel powerless?

And when to people agree and use the word to convey a mutual appreciation of current situation, does it create a powerful cohesion?

Two guys tripping at a festival.

Neither has said anything for a while.

Both are reclining on a tree, listening to drumming and watching sexy fire twirlers.
