If you look to the rite of the pic you can see this new white part growing over the cake. Is this mycellium or could this be some sort of white mold? im pretty sure its just new mycellium growing but i would like to get the opinion of a few experts if i could.

I think those are called hyphal knots (hyphae), what are those berry's under there?
Definition from Wiki (and surprise, from a page not demanding revision)
A hypha consists of one or more cells surrounded by a tubular cell wall. In most fungi, hyphae are divided into cells by internal cross-walls called "septa" (singular septum). Septa are usually perforated by pores large enough for ribosomes, mitochondria and sometimes nuclei to flow between cells. The major structural polymer in fungal cell walls is typically chitin, in contrast to plants that have cellulosic cell walls. Some fungi have aseptate hyphae, meaning their hyphae are not partitioned by septa.

It looks like mycelium to me too. Id say its different looking only because that part may have gotten too dry at one point.
On a side note, I believe you only want to dunk and roll right after birthing, then just dunking in between flushes...

Those "berrys" are expanded clay, i think its called hydrotron or someshit. Edit: i think they also call that stuff geolite but i could be wrong OP. That looks like a mutation to me. Sides that your

It looks good to me. If you're worried about trich keep your eye out for really fast growth. In my experience with trich it there was a white patch that showed up, then took over almost half the cake within a day before starting to turn green. Trich should be obvious to spot, but as far as I can tell from that pic you look ok!

Looks fine to me. Though slightly unusual.
Trich can look pretty much like mycelium (though usually it's looks more crumbly), but as said before, it'll turn green sooner or later, and you should see it.

to say it simply.... when a mold is in a jar... there is no such thing as white contams.... (even cobweb mold appears black in a jar)

trich appear white, and is similiar tolooking to myc to the untrained eye, that just looks like fluffy new growth, only roll after birthing and your first dunk, if it is trich youll know in a day or two, cobweb is easy to spot once you get it once or twice, has more of a greyish tint to it, those berry looking things are some sort of lava rocks or something like that used in pmp's

That's mycellium growing on the stems. It's fine except it could mean low humidity (confirmation anyone?)
Also, don't hijack other people's threads.
