Well...... um... it's spelled Equador in Portuguese...

From what I have heard and all, strain does not really much matter...
I could go on various tangents...

The strain has very little to do with, how much you get.Its has more to do with the growers skills.

Umm you are correct to an extent...there are some strains that wont even produce fruit bodies even through it is rare this proves my point.

When I start a strain on ager, from spores. If I don't see some pins on the ager.I throw out the dish.A new strain is made, when two spores meet.

I saw someone saying that B+'s dont colonize or grow fast.....
FTW?
My first time doing PF tek was with B+'s and so far they have been the fastest growing and colonizing that I have dealt with. Even if you take out the time it takes to colonize casings.
Afoaf is growing some puerto ricans and they seem to be pretty slow compared to the B+'s.

When I grew B+ parallel to GT I could compare the myc growth of both of them and the GT was ready to be birthed about a week before the B+'S were. Again other strains are faster than GT what makes B+ pretty slow strains. At least in my experience which seems to equal lots of others peoples experience with this strain.

So I've read the strain thread and do not see several stains I have chosen for myself. These are as follows Z-strain, South American, and Brazilian. Every website I go to that sponsors the shroomery has them but the strain thread does not. I'm assuming that theses strains were not available until after the original post or the poster does not recommend them perhaps. I also read something I found subsequently in the replies to the strain thread post; the inception of vendor hype. Is this true? Are certain strains hyped up by vendors to sell when maybe they don't work as well as the description implies? And lastly are any of my strains "over-hyped" where I would be better off with a different strain perhaps?
I appreciate all your guys' info. I think I've learned more posting here than I have reading through teks.

Had to make this post in here apparently so it doesn't clog up the forum maybe? I dunno. But the most recent posting early 2003 so I doubt anyone will reply anytime soon.
