Can anyone tell me anything about the "Lizard King" strain?
I grow them successfuly but all I know is that it came from a Shroomery member who toke it from a wild print. Who did that?

Hey everyone...
A few days ago I discovered that The strain "Ban Phang Ka" is the worst spore depositor I've ever seen (though I haven't seen many yet  ).
I'd be interested in a list/single posts of strains that are also bad depositors.
In the last days I've heard a few people saying that they hate strains that don't deposit very well, so it might be interesting not only for me

That's what I thought... PE is famous for being a crappy printer. My it be that the South East Asian strains are all bad depositors?

    #6608075 - 02/25/07 09:15 AM (16 years, 10 months ago)

Hey everyone...
In about 4 hours I will several jars with two different strains.

I can't decide which ones to take so I thought of you to decide for me.

So which two strains should I take?

1) Ban Phang Ka

2) Ecuador

3) B+

4) Golden Teacher

5) Mazatapec

6) Mathias Romero

7) Mexican Dutch King

8) Mexi Cube

9) Brazil

10) Amazon

11) Acadian Cost

12) Gulf Cost

13) Treasure Cost

14) Aussie

15) Philipine

16) Burma

17) PESH

18) PESA

19) Thai Koh Samui

20) Koh Samui Super Strain

21) Elephant Dung

22) Malabar

As I said: Please choose two of them and I will inoculate each three jars with the two strains that were voted the most.
Ah... I will write a grow log of all the jars so you can check what your decision does

PS: If anyone knows how to make a poll that big, please describe it to me and I will change this post into a good looking poll list.

@ Geko

Guess you've seen the strain offered by me.
I've never seen it on the shroomery so I can't really tell you anything about it except the facts I've experienced myself.

About the "Lizard King"

What i can say about it is that it's mycelium growth is extremely fast and medium rhizomorph. Compared to the strains I've grown so far it has the fastest myc growth which seems to be quiet resistant (but I guess it's mostly the same).
Anyway... what can I say about the fruits?
The fruiting is quiet prolific. It grows fast and quiet nicely shaped. It's fruits are mostly slender with a hollow stem and caps that aren't too big.
The veils are pretty thin and separate from the cap in one peace most of the time but almost disappear after a day due to their thin consistency. It's printing qualities are excellent!

What appeared to me very positively is the fact that this strain seems to flush forever. Though the fruits keep getting smaller with every flush it has an excellent potential in producing up to about 8  flushes. Maybe... Right now flush number seven is growing on five of my cakes.
I can't say anything about the potency of it, I've never tried it.

Guess that's anything I can say about it right now. I like it

here are some pics

This one was the biggest I've grown

Some Casing pics:

That's it...

I never really considered the fact that different strains of cubensis may have different style trips. Thats really neat. I wish I could get my hands on some spores.

Does anyone have any info on Panealus Cyanescens as to its potency and style of the trip.

What I heard and experienced:

Panaeolus Cyanescens is the strongest mushroom when eaten fresh due to it's enormous content of Psilocin which vanishes time after time for it's not oxygen consistent. Still it's VERY powerful when eaten dried. The trips are told to be extremely visual which pretty much is what I experienced after eating it.
It's potency is said to be about 2.5 times higher than the potency of the Psilocybe Cubensis species. So for a nice lever 3 trip you'd just have to eat about 1 gram.

Like I said: That's what I heard and experienced.

I hope I could help you a little

It was ME who defined some characteristics for the Pan Cyanescens:mad: Just kidding...

Drying doesn't fuck them up cause they are still WAY more potent then Cubensis mushrooms.

Concerning the Azurescens you've heard the right thing. It is potent as hell. Actually all in all it's the most potent mushroom species in the world. And the good thing about it (beside the fact that it doesn't grows from shit  ) is, that it keeps it's potency for a long -desert-dry- time for it's main "ingredient" is Psilocybin which IS oxygen consistent.

Azure trips are pretty much the same as Psilocybe Cyanescens trips (for they are almost the same except the Azure is a little more potent). They are EXTREMELY visual (in my experience THE most visual species) and additional they have a heavy body high that kicks in pretty rough and kind of itches under your skin, letting you feel a little worried about it's power and what comes next.

If I could choose any mushroom of the world I'd definitely take the Azurescens!

Your theory would only be correct if either you eat them fresh or you would weigh your shroom dose before drying them and then, more or less, believe it's the dose you calculated it was.

But WHO on earth does this???? That would be highly retarded (no offense )

50 Gram???
Are you sure you don't mix them up?
Now, seriously... You're not really trying to tell me that you've constantly getting 50 gram Penis Envy fruits, don't you?!?

And beside that is this way of weighing simply stupid, cause just because your fresh fruit weighs 50 gram it doesn't have to mean your dried one would be weighing 5 gram. As we all know this kind of calculating is just for calculating and IF "Penis Envy" fruits are indeed more dense then they wouldn't dry down to 5 gram but maybe down to 6 gram or what ever.
So it's pretty dumb to "guess" how much you're eating...

He estimated ~5 grams because generally we assume ~90% water weight to give reference as far as I can tell. 50 grams fresh definitely isn't a "guess" at how much he's eating.

Really?? I never knew that   But Yeah, it's a guess. At least in MY experience for most of the mushrooms I've dried, weighed either MORE or LESS then the expected tenth of the fresh weight.

Quote:

since plenty of people eat fresh mushrooms

Alright, you did it the way I do it all the time and don't read the posts above my last one where I said that the
In MY experience they they don't dry down to a tenth of their fresh weight but to a little more. It's pretty randomly in MY experience.

Quote:

OK well it could have been 5.5 or 4.5 the points the same...

You see... Well, if you normally actually eat 5 dry grams of Cubes it doesn't matter if it's 4.5 or 5.5. It's an amount you shouldn't feel any difference anymore

And concerning the size of your Penises (god, I wish I would have as many as you do... Well, guess you can't have everything!), I didn't want to say you NEVER grow them but the 50 Gram mushrooms are definitely huge and appear but not all the time, don't they...

How you produce a NOT pure strain?

When I grew B+ parallel to GT I could compare the myc growth of both of them and the GT was ready to be birthed about a week before the B+'S were. Again other strains are faster than GT what makes B+ pretty slow strains. At least in my experience which seems to equal lots of others peoples experience with this strain.
