I once had a man offer me a 1200 dollar theatre system for 250. When I told him to take a flying fuck, he said he was calling the police due to my parking in a handicapp space(despite the fact I had the ticket right in my windshield allowing me to park there). So as a cop car was driving by he waved him down and told him my parking situation. The officer pulled me to the side and explained to me that parking there was only legal if I had a handicapp sticker, which I showed him to. He promptly apologized and left, but before he walked away I told him this guy was trying to sell me an expensive stereo for super cheap. The officer went over and talked to this guy about it.
I don't know what was said, but next thing you know this guy punches the cop so hard it knocks him(the cop) down and proceeds to run in my direction, looking at the cop and watching him to make sure he wasn't chasing him. Now, me being the good little citizen that I am, yawned and coyly put my foot in the path of this guy. He trips, lands HARD face-first on the cement and is knocked out for a second or two. As he is starting to wake up and, I'm assuming trying to get back up to run again the cop runs over to us and fucking tackles this guy. I'm not talking a little "grab and hold" deal. I'm talking "this cop looks like he's a fucking blocker for a football team" tackle. Cop handcuffs him, throws him in the squad car and calls an ambulance/reinforcement.
So, about 6 minutes later 4 other police vehicles and an ambulance show up. As I was giving my statement, I overheard the words "cocaine, firearm, incindiary device, and warrant for arrest". And guess what?
Turns out this guy(unknowingly) has had warrants on his head for about 2 months for charges relating to: Kidnapping Drug charges Physical assault Assault with a deadly weapon Possesion of bomb-making materials Unlawful Possession of explosives Possession of a contolled substance Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute And on and on and on.
So they get a warrant to search his vehicle. I wasn't told what was inside, but as the officer opened the door to the van, all I heard was "holy shit...this guy is fucked!".
Goes to show how stupid people can be. Go figure
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the stereo was a cheap chinese knock-off and this occured in the parking lot of a bank
