Mex B strain
    #1194527 - 01/06/03 02:48 AM (22 years, 5 months ago)

I just ordered a print from MushMush. Anyone have any experience with these, and have you got any good tips?

I've found some grass seed that is 70% rye grass and 30% some other grass. And I have been assured by Hombase that they have not used any chemical treatments on this at all. So i'm going to give it a try using that.

Once my grass seed is colonised what's the best way to procede from there? Direct casing or bulk substrate? What results have people got from their various ideas?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I'll keep this thread updated with my efforts and progress.

Any untreated grass seed will be fine. Directly casing of grass seed is recommended. Mexicana needs more air exchanges than cubensis to develop normally. So if you can grow Pan cyans, you can grow a nice crop of mexicana B. Fortunately, a poor environment will stimulate sclerotia formation in the casing. So even if you screw up, you should get something. Pins take approximately 10-14 days to appear after casing at 78F. Some additional information is here. http://www.sporeworks.com/mexicana.html
