Mortal Online
    #11890671 - 01/24/10 11:33 AM (14 years, 1 month ago)

Has anyone heard of it or are they playing beta?

www.mortalonline.com

It's very graphics heavy, but looks great. My computer can't handle it... Yet.... I am ordering parts JUST for this game as we speak. :0P

Problem is I have a slim case and it might require some modding. I might cut a hole into it and bend the metal upwards then use cardboard to cover the extra remaining holes. We'll see... Maybe I could but a fan that I could screw into the open hole and have it vent cool air in... I'll see how that goes. :0P

Anyway, Mortal Online is about as close to UO as an MMO is going to get so far. Everything isn't implemented, but it is still beta.

I was playing Star Trek Online this weekend and it's a weird game in that it takes way more CPU than video card power.

My CPU was pegged (AMD3500+ ) even on the lowest craptastic settings even with a ATI 1950pro.

That's crazy.. I have a little worry about my processor.. its only like 2.4 or something which is MINIMUM for the game. BUT I have 4 gigs of ram and i will be getting a new power supply plus $350 video card. It should definitely pull its weight. If I have to cut a hole into my tower, ill just cut enough metal to cover it and cover the cut/ bent part with an intake fan.

It will be a super modded slim case FTW lol..

I dunno... I find it hard to give a shit about a fantasy MMO. I miss UO but it was basically ruined by voice chat. And then the new ones... all I see is Vanguard: Darkfall in the World of Conan.

I want fucking Huxley. Or I want to inherit a shit ton of money and then play EVE for the rest of my life.

Last MMO I really liked was Neocron, but it never really took off. I also found Tibia to be pretty hardcore and enjoyable, even though it is the most ghetto graphical MMO I'm aware of and the Brazilians rule it with an iron fist.

I thought Huxley was cancelled, but I'm not sure

I love MMOs and get high hopes for any new MMO that tries to "be like UO or better". So either way I will be giving it a try.

Wow, I'm surprised I haven't heard of this game before now. It looks pretty cool, I'll have to check it out. I like anything that claims to be 'hardcore'. After so long playing EVE and FE any game that hands stuff to you just makes me feel bored.

--------------------
The story goes, or the way that I was told
There was a king that always felt too high and then he fell too low
And so he called all the wise men to the hall
And begged them for a gift to end the rises and the falls
But here’s the thing, they came back with a ring
It was simple and was plainly unbefitting of a king
Engraved in black, it had no front or back
But there were words around the band that said
Just know: This Too Shall Pass

Dang.. Downloaded the client, but didn't realize I had to pre-order the game to get a beta key :frown:

Yeah, its their way of "getting" you. I still need to upgrade my PC, but should be done in a couple weeks. Its sick! I'm going to spend $500 to upgrade my pc just for this game. Lol
