I don't think Buddhists give a fuck about perfection. They believe in non duality. Everything is one, perfection is imperfection, you cannot achieve perfection, without being imperfect, and if you're imperfect, you're not perfect. It's kind of hard to read into it if you haven't been reading about it, but in Eastern philosophy, this is that, and that is this, and that's all there is :psychsplit:

I understand, somewhat.
I mean the duality between perfection and imperfection. The duality between everything, -/+ and all that jazz

Haha, yeah. Read some books about it, they're great reads and really make you a better person I feel. The two I responded with earlier are great beginner ones if you're new to it. Mindful living really is an interesting thing.

I read through half of Be Here Now, never really could be arsed to finish it. I was far too interest in reading my Huxley and Borrough's books

I find Be Here Now to be good for panicky tripping situations but not much use for real lasting absorption.

Who'se Borrough's :ooo:

Huxley is fantastic though. I've read Doors of Perception probably 5 times.

Yeah. It feels like it could be much more, but I guess in a sober sense taking in anything too literally doesn't work as well as it ought to. It's like when you see a masterpiece of art, you know that it should affect you more heavily, but it just doesn't. Something like that I guess.

I think trying to read a book would kick my ass if I was tripping.

G.I. Gurdjieff and P.D. Ouspensky.  Well beyond Ram Dass or any Transcendental Meditation teachings.

And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk ...four times already this year and I used to be over by the window and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and its not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire.
