screrotium? couldn't be...
    #1192833 - 01/05/03 02:03 PM (21 years, 2 months ago)

my friend is growing (seriously, my friend) and on one of his fruiting cakes her discoverdd a brown fleshy lump embedded in the top rim. impulsive idiot that he is, he amputated and bruied the poor cake to death with a non-sterile knife. was this i had a chance to look at it and can confirm it wasn't mold, could it have been screrotium? his fruitng chamber may be on the cold side at times.

Cakes sometimes grow odd looking lumps of mushroom flesh, mutant mushrooms. It's all good, eat it up.
