here's a very interesting talk with Dr. Michio Kaku. He covers what he believes will be happening to technology and our level of advancement as a society during the upcoming decades. enjoy ~10 years: "smart" contact lenses (virtual computer in a contact lens) ~20-30 years: programmable matter

Kaku, lol. My wife and I always laugh how every time there is a science show hes in it for some reason. He's always out there whoring up the documentary circuit. He came to my school once, but it was standing room only so I didnt go.
Ill check out those videos later tonight if I remember.

it's not NWO. it's what's inevitable with diminishing resources. a type 1 civilization will happen whether people want it to or not. and by one way or the other. if it doesn't happen we'll die out as a species. that's all there is to it.

Well he said something that left a bad tast in my mouth. I don't have the quote but it sounded like he was against people who opposed the NWO even went as far as to saying they were terrorists. I do think its possible to survive without a NWO, If we just evolve our relationship with ourselves, each other and the planet. I'm not against a NWO, but im sure not going to give into just any NWO, especially the one I think Michio kaku is referring to.

GTFO with your NWO. Kaku is just a scientist, a dreamer and maybe a little over the top.

Don't shoot the messenger he said it not me. And like I said I don't dislike the guy. I don't think he is "over the top", but I don't think he should get more hype and airtime than any other scientist/physicist. I could name a few people I'd rather see in the spotlight for a while.

no no no no. Michio said that "the people who are holding back the advancement of human society into a type 1 civilization are the terrorists, as they fear change and are willing to kill themselves to prevent it. I'm pretty sure what Michio refers to as a "type 1 civilization" (not NWO) resembled something more like the Venus Project than anything NWO-totalitarian related. and Michio isn't "for it" or "against it". it's not that sort of thing. that's like saying someone's for or against puberty. it's an inevitable process that will happen once we run out of our dead plant/oil-based energy sources and need to move onto more globally-related (natural) energy sources for sustenance.

Biased information FTW? He may be right, but he's still looking at it from only one perspective.
For instance, with the x-ray scans at the airports... there is talk of using pigeons. Why? Because they can detect visual information and differences within this visual system in a fraction of the time it takes humans and with greater accuracy. Their visual world is a whole while ours is segmented. They don't break it down into parts, it is a complex geometric shape, if you will. They can be trained to look for certain patterns, just as Kaku is describing a computer program will. Only difference is, the public is not going to trust a pigeon sitting behind a x-ray scanner. It has been proposed that we should feed the x-ray data from multiple airports to a central hub full of pigeons. 1 pigeon can easily maintain multiple x-rays. That way people wouldn't know pigeons were doing the dirty work and our accuracy and security would increase. But, there is resistance to this.
If we weren't so shaped by preconceptions, we could be utilizing pigeons to do our dirty work right now. They are easy to train, cheap to maintain, and very accurate. Instead, Kaku is probably right. We will spend a lot of money in the development of security software that will do the exact same thing. Hell, they will probably use knowledge of pigeon perception to gain a foothold on where to start.

Dr. Kaku was on Coast to Coast AM tonight (1/29). I have read several of his books. I would recommend to start with Parallel Worlds. Then follow up with Hyperspace, Visions, and Beyond Einstein. Don't read the book he co-authored How To Win A Nuclear War because you don't have to have an IQ that is 1-2 standard deviations above normal to realize there are no winners in a nuclear holocaust (M.A.D. Theory). I also have several recorded interviews with Dr. Kaku (MP3). I put them on Limewire (p2p) to share them if anyone is interested. Just search for Michio Kaku and you should find the 9 or so that I have posted.
Peace
