WOW....kinda off season, but i found 4 wild Psilocybe semilanceata in one group this am. looked like the weather kinda played on them a little, but not bad.......

anyone know of anyone who might have a good used microscope for sale or trade?

i'm 100000000% sure I found semilanciata earlier this year.
In a cow pasture, on the coast. There were only 2-3 mushrooms there in total... so i wouldn't sweat it... they are simply not up right now, nor in a quanitity that makes them worthwhile... not even gregarious.

well, i found them in a cow pasture, and yes i am 100% sure they were libertys.....and i expect you to believe shit. i dont really care if you believe me or not for that matter. i mean hell, if it would have been a patch of,say,90 lbs or so, i would have rushed back to the truck and grabbed my $500.00 digital camera,rushed back out in the rain,across the pasture thru the mud and took a picture just so i could run back to my house and upload it so YOU could see if it was REALLY TRULY a liberty cap......GEEZE... that was the first mushroom i ever found (something like 15 years ago). out of all of the mushrooms in the world ive came across, believe me,i know what i liberty cap is. ive had more problems distinguishing between different types of boletus (you DO know what those are dont you, or should i post a pik?) than a liberty cap........

i haven't seen or heard of any libs south of humbolt .
anybody else got some ?
i don't doubt that they could, i found some in a horse pasture once, in im sure stressed conditions, and got a good buzz from only 3 .

YEA, THERES LIBERTYS JUST ABOUT EVERYWERE IN THE NORTH VALLY IF YOU KNOW WERE TO LOOK. ILL HAVE TO DIG THEM OUT, BUT IVE GOT PICTURES OF A BATCH THAT I TOOK 2 YEARS BACK IN THE FOOTBALL FIELD OF A HIGH SCHOOL DOWN THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE.THEY WERE IN A SHADED AREA NEAR THE STANDS. THERE MUST HAVE BEEN 50 IN 2 DIFFERENT SMALLISH PATCHES. I LIVE IN AN AREA THATS SO PERFECT FOR ITS MUSHROOM GROWTH, WE ACTUALLY HAVE OUR OWN MUSHROOM. IT ONLY GROWS IN OUR AREA,NO WERE ELSE (THEY SAY)...I COULD TELL YOU WHAT IT IS, AND YOU COULD LOOK IT UP, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, IT WOULD FOR SURE GIVE MY GENERAL LOCATION AWAY....WE HAVE FUNGI AND MUSHROOMS HERE THAT ARE SUPOSED TO BE ONLY IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS, BUT WE FIND THEM ALL HERE. IVE SEEN MYCOLOGY FIELD TRIPS HERE TOO (BUSLOADS!).......

I DIDNT MEAN TO SOUND TO SARCASTIC OR ANYTHING, BUT IT DOESNT TAKE A GENIUS TO IDENTIFY LIBERTY CAPS...
