On casings how much mycelium will be on top before i see pins? Every day it seems more is reaching the surface. I feel like im so close. This is my first grow and the anticipation is killing me.

Wait until most of the surface is colonized. You will thank yourself later for it.

i started with pin initiation a few days ago by letting light into the growing chamber and i took the saran wrap off the casing container but still more mycelium appears to be moving to the serface. Is this normal?

The mycelium network itself should continue to grow, even as primordia form. Sounds fine.

great, im a bit anxous and i cant wait till they start to grow. dose anyone know about how much will grow in a 4, 1/2 pt casing in an about 1'x1' container. the first flush should be good because i let the mycelium develope very evenly.

a picture would help, but harvest will vary, on a first flush maybe 200 grams fresh, and those pins will be there before you know it. be cool

I have basically the Same situation but with a 6 quart container and 2 quarts of millet. After ive iniated pinning can I still patch case to let the sides catch up with the middle? Or should I just leave it?Im sure out yeilds will be similar.

i used 50/50 teck of vermaculite and premium potting soil
