the pics arent too good, but you can get an idea for the size, im not exactly sure how old they are, i didnt really keep track, grown indoor under a 150w HPS. i forget the variation, my friend ordered them a long time ago, he doesnt remember either. im not too concerned about that as long as i can harvest enough opium to get me good and itchy.

oh man....you should transplant as soon as possible...i think the roots are really sensitive and damage easily. they are gonna get BIG and weedy/bushy/cabbage...lol
they look real healthy

If I were you, I would use peat pots... transplanting is quite ruff for poppies, peat ots are just so simple: you dig a hole and pot your poppy/pot in it, and thee you are, no damage what so ever... thee, your plants are nice and healthy, so the root system must be quite compact, and getting them out and stuff might damage the roots.. do it very carefully... real nice plants though!! look quite like mine Good thing with poppies, is that you don't need to get them used to the conditions outside! well, thats what I guessed after taking 6 plants in the freezing cold outhtere, from under those nice and hot fluos, and they are still growing well outside!! impressive!

I've found that one well grown plant will yield around 20-30 pods, more or less. This means one plant has enough opium for 1-2 doses, depending on the strength of the dose. Outdoor growing would yield a whole lot more, but some people don't have the resources and space to grow them outdoors. Also, is it true that its illegal to grow opium poppies?

yea, the plants are illegal to possess, but if your going to only have one, i would just throw some seed out beside the house and let them come up "by themselfs" so to speak. i can tell you my old granny had them for years around her place and was never harrassed ( in california no less). i think most cops dont even know what a poppy plant looks like there so infrequently seen . if someone was to say something about it, you could always say "there what?.....you can do what with them ?...no shit?......i never knew" and you wouldnt have any problems at all. i mean the freakin seeds you buy at the spice rack are viable (most of them), they could have fell off of a muffin or something. its real hard to get busted for unless they catch you trying to score the pods and collect the sap....
good luck!

i believe, so correct me if im wrong, that this statments suposed to mean that grown under optimum conditions in an enviroment sutable for poppies that they are capable of producing this many pods....ive seen them growing with about 10-15 or so, they DO get big as a fat man after a thanksgiving feast!...ive got some bowling ball seeds that i got from my granny and ive seen her pops with pods as big as a baseball (:)^(:)

Poppies are legal here in France, and in England too I beleive, they are quite common garden plants... So in spring, just walk aroud your neighbourhood (sp?) and keep an eye on the flower beds, and at night, cut cut cut for your pods.. I'm not sure the nanny would let you go and scrap her plants.... Would be quite interesting to habe about 15-30 pods per plant.. should try indoors when I get my HPS lamp...

An outdoors plant can produce new pods every day for at least 1 month Though the older the plant the smaller the pods become ive found. In england the plants are leagle but once you scrape them you could be arrested for cultivation of a class a drug.Which to my knowlege has never happend here. More likely youed just get a caution.
Also youed be supprised how much opm you can get from a plant.Easerly enuff for you and some friends to get itchy

at the risk of sounding like an ignorant noob (opiates aren't my speciality), you can purchase viable, opium producing poppies at your friendly local grocery store?! i always thought they were a different species of poppy.
