ATL #7 - Faster than cubes!!!

I've been doing a lot of work with ATL 7 on BRF cakes. This was a side by side grow with an ATL cake and a cubensis cake. Both multispore LC, not an isolate. And obviously temps play a part in the story, your mileage may vary.
Christmas day 12/15 I had a surprise day off work and made some pint cakes. Just like regular PF cakes, but in a 16 oz tub. Some ATL, some cubensis.

Moved one of each into the FC on 1/17, and today I've got pins on the cube cake. But the stones on the ATL cake have exploded. You can see where they have pushed the cake apart.

Pluck off the stones with tweezers, wash them, rub them around on a paper towel.

And there you go- 15+ grams of beautiful, delicious stones in less than a month. There's a bit of verm on them, but most of that comes off when you wash them and dry them.
Anybody think this will trigger fruiting? Like picking the first flush of mushrooms gets the second flush going?

In my experience I only get several ounces of Atl#7 compared to several pounds of cubes. In the same amount of time. They colonize at about the same rate. While stones take weeks, I can pull off several flushes from cubes. I give cubes the win hands down overall. I give Atl#7 the win for being easy. I have twenty quart jars of Atl#7 that Im going to spawn to a good size mono tub. The original print I got was smaller than a dime. Im hoping to get cube size fruits.
I do think it will trigger fruiting.

doc t the pf tek super fan. dont the cakes normaly just fall apart? you should try to just hit up a casing of a pan filled with verm and brf. u could put it in a plastic bag with a filter patch and drop of silicon for a port. it would probably keep it together. i wanna try this......

Were you quoting me?
Yes, the stones push the cake apart, it's very cool. But cakes don't fall apart. This thing is still all in one piece, just opened up radially like Pac-Man.
In fact, I'm dunking it right now. I harvested the cube cake today, so I'm dunking both.

i thought they fruited directly from the sclerotia. so if you had it in a pan it would keep it all tight moist and together.

I dunno- people do it different ways, and I haven't tried them all. I've got a couple little cased tubs, one grain, one BRF colonizing, I'm hoping those will fruit like some of the pics I've seen.. Also, there's a sizeable stone harvest even if you get no fruits at all. I picked 15g just off the outside of this one..
