I'm moving to another state, and I really want to bring my favorite pipe with me. It's not just a normal pipe, it's one of those huge works of art.
So I've cleaned, re-cleaned, re-re-cleaned, re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-cleaned it, past the point of there being no resin left in the pipe. It should be safe to mail it, right?

Yeah it should be safe but if your still worried you could pack it with coffee or those bounty dryer sheet things. Anyway it used to be that USPS had to have a warrant to open any package but UPS,FedEx,and etc. could open any pack they feel like. You might wait for someone else to chime in though because this is only my .02 Good Luck

Yeah man, just put a bag of TOBACCO in there. Transporting smoking devices across state lines is a federal offense, if it is intended to be used for marijuana. If you intend to use a bong/pipe for smoking tobacco legally you should be fine.
91% Isopropyl Alcohol + Standard Table Salt = Best Bong Cleaner Ever
Use that to clean it (the biggest bottles of both products will burn a 6.00 hole in your pocket) and then put a bag of bugler tobacco & papers in the same package, that way if it does get opened there's no questions as to if it was going to be used for pot.

You are not going to get busted for mailing a pipe.
