Thank you guys for all your feedback. I wanted to make things easier and more streamlined but maybe with the ajax validation I was being too clever for my own good. I was stuck on the idea that people were unable to submit the form due to a technical problem but I'll try looking at it from a UI perspective.

I have logged in this once so that I can set the "last seen" feature up. let the faggots flow forth into OTD and have it. Its funny how they all grew nuts after I left. I'm not here, I'm not reading, but I urge you all to keep melting down over me. I know, I hurt alot of people, and they deserved it. epic win for me, epic fail for you.

There definitely was some sort of technical fault for me back in November. I tried everything to submit an account over a period of several days, but ultimately all I could do was get another person on a different internet connection create it for me. The UI was definitely not the problem for me; if multiple people are complaining that they cannot register, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt that they are indeed intelligent enough to navigate the page and register an account, but some sort of technical difficulty is standing in their way...
Sorry if I misinterpreted what you said; I don't know what all the technical vocabulary means myself.

Nevermind I was just being lazy.  I sent out the supporter accounts, if I missed anyone who thinks they should have received one please let me know. And thanks again for all your help guys! I'll be really interested to see how these changes will affect our reg stats.

Try adding a poll (of sorts) that is available at the bottom of the sign up page for people to take if they are having issues. That way you can get specific answers to FAQ's. Maybe you could make it capture the screen so you can look for causes resulting from their data.
Just a thought, I'm stoned so if it doesn't make any sense I am sorry.

On email address it says "nonexistent address". My email address does exist. No typos or anything.

And then after a few tries another bug? Usually I had to click on the "agree with the board rules" for the forms to show up. I clicked on your test link and the forms were already visible . I filled them out and it let me test register without clicking on the user agreement...
