'Silent yourself, that will induce Silence in others. Do not fall into the habit of shouting, talking long and loud. Reduce contacts to the minimum. Carry with you an atmosphere of quiet contemplation, wherever you happen to be. The less you talk, the more will become your mental power. With the increase in your mental capacity, there will be increase in your power of discrimination too. Consequently, you will give up individual discrimination. Because of this, you will begin to consider the good of the world at large rather than your own individual welfare. You must cultivate such broad feelings from this young age itself.'

"We Sioux spend a lot of time thinking about everyday things which in our minds are mixed up with the spiritual. We see in the world around us many symbols that teach us the meaning of life. We have a saying that the white man sees so little, he must see with only one eye. We see a lot that you no longer notice. You could notice if you wanted to, but you are usually too busy. We Indians live in a world of symbols and images where the spiritual and commonplace are one...We try to understand them not with the head but with the heart." --John Fire Lame Deer
He who binds to himself a joy Does the winged life destroy; But he who kisses the joy as it flies Lives in eternity's sun rise.

'Time went on, and the Old Fool and his children kept on digging away at the mountain. While everyone laughed at his impossible project, the spirits of the mountain became concerned...Alarmed, they went to the lords of heaven and reported their concern. The deities were both curious and amused by the Old Fool's attempt at moving the mountains, but when they saw his patience and determination, they decided to help him. One night they sent two giants to carry the mountain off, one to the east and one to the south. The next morning, when the people looked out from their windows, the mountains that had blocked their way were miraculously gone.'

My King James,
Exodus 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
My Exodus, 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt will I execute judgment: I am the LORD.
Only those who eat unleavened bread (unleaving lam?) and wipe their door with the blood of the Lam are spared the Passover. Firstborn animals dying, the houses marked Is Lam (Kaaba?) spared.

'When we want beings in all directions to be happy, there arises in us the intention to love. This desire to love enters our feelings, perceptions, mental formations, and consciousness; and it becomes manifested in all our actions, speech, and other mental activities. Events that are neither mental nor physical arising after that are in accord with love and can in themselves be called love, as love is their root. These events determine our future actions, and they are directed by our will, which is now suffused with love. Will is the energy that drives our actions and speech. The same is true with regard to the arising of compassion, joy, and equanimity.' - Nagarjuna

"out of emptiness arises compassion" I heard Ram Dass use this , not sure it came from originally though. If someone is aware who the original quote belongs to please let do let me know.
This quote perfectly describes my life changing mushroom trip I experienced quite a few years back now. I struggled so long for the answer to what the emptiness I felt from within (which was absolutely terrifying) to only return knowing I needed to change my way of arrogance & rudeness to being the most positive & loving person as virtually possible.
thus "out of emptiness arises compassion"

Or.. compassion is our default state , when we don't fill thoughts on our minds
The real question might then be how to avoid filling too many thoughts on our minds
Lots of things in this world give us excessive thoughts and prevent us from being ourselves, lots of distractions
That quote you got is probably your higher self , or his higher self, or whatever ;-) Transpersonal quote, any with enough connection to their inner self could have made it
The real problem is then understanding it, it can only be understood fully in a state of emptiness and that is hard to reach permanently
If you have ever reached emptiness one time you know how hard it is to get near that state permanently, to feel at one
anyway I want to share one: "some feel the rain others just get wet" - Bob marley

I'm not sure, but the writer of that blog had this one:
“Emptiness permits the greatest openness, the greatest willingness to accept the things of the world as a starting point to make the great leap.” - Karl Jaspers. .
Jaspers is a good one, read him about 17. Really good one.
Hesse on trees is worthwhile;
for instance he makes the point, life is not easy or difficult.
pushing and pulling is easy to let go of - if you believe if it is easy;
nothing is necessary to reach state of peace except whole-hearted determination to reach it,
I actually thought you said, 'once you see it, you know how easy it is to get back there,' at first, lessismore.
pushers exist in the world, and it's a little surprising they do - anyway, being immune to persuasion is more worthwhile, than continuing it.

basically, kind, open-hearted peaceful, patient energy is the best way to bring out the best in others. . Ram Dass shared this as eloquently as is probably possible.
a mistaken view is that closed-heart brings strength; an open heart is what grows to be strong.
Peace and love

'breathing in, i calm body and mind, breathing out, i smile' - thay
'present moment, wonderful moment,'
and 'there is happiness in the present moment, if we are attentive, we will see it,'
. . i have considered it as 'layering peacefulness upon peacefulness,' in a way. . not seeking, not grasping - as dogen says, way of the buddhas, is to expect not, grasp not. .
breathing in nature is really the highest and most beneficial practice, i have found. .
also, gazing off at trees on the horizon - relaxes the eye muscles, and so forth. .
as hanh says, a smile relaxes the facial muscles. .
in my exp, a relaxed face is a relaxed face. .
all of it may aid one and is useful info, if one correlates and assembles it all.
also, aikido or more especially tai chi, can be such an expedient means, of health and strength, and so forth - peace and relaxation bring a lot of vital energy - just look at cats, or squirrels. .

Exodus,
12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
If the blood of the lam is cast upon pillars and the foundation of a house, the blood of the Muslim renunciate working for the five elements and pillars of IsLam.
12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
"Bitter herbs" can mean legal ethneogens. Blood is love because the energy of the heart.
"Beasts" (first quote post on) = bigoted infidels.
If the first born dies without the Lam, Christianity dies if Christ was God's first born and they don't have the Lam too, Islam as authentic. is lam & kabaa.

The dead bigoted infidels inference may seem hostile. I intend to express a symbolic death upon infidels opposing Bible quotes As an American freedom of speech. And am in no way As bitter as the herbs. Nor do I intend to distract Shroomers from Greatest Spiritual Quotes, To myself, a Muslim Any random line of the Bible:
