Whoever imagines himself a favorite with God holds other people in contempt.
Whenever a man believes that he has the exact truth from God, there is in that man no spirit of compromise.
He has not the modesty born of the imperfections of human nature; he has the arrogance of theological certainty and the tyranny born of ignorant assurance.
Believing himself to be the slave of God, he imitates his master, and of all tyrants, the worst is a slave in power.
Robert Ingersoll

I wonder what people consider the word "spiritual" entails?
As I look back at the pages of this thread I see quotes from Peter Tosh, Deepak Chopra, Nikola Tesla, Hans Christian Anderson, Jerry Garcia, Buddha, Jack Kerouac, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jesus Christ, William Blake, Timothy Leary, Eckhart Tolle, Aleister Crowley, Ram Dass, E.E. Cummings, Rumi, Joseph Campbell, and Carl Jung . . .
I confess, I've never really understood the word "spiritual", and Wikipedia is no help. Does spiritual mean religious to you? Is spiritual related to philosophical? Is it even possible to have a spiritual concept with no philosophical aspect to it?
