are thai strain (PB and LY) mycelium more wispy and less rhizomorphic than other strains? just wondering, because it's been four days since innoculating BRF half pints and right around the injection sites are wispy, light cottony myc. Not sure, could be cobweb but upon smelling the jars they smelled fine. First time growing thai strains so not exactly sure. Thanks in advance.

Yeah. I know a friend with some lipa's that started really whispy... almost cobweb like, after 2 weeks though he got his WBS jars fully colonized and its thick as shit. it looks like someone spooged all over his cakes lol. Don't worry, they'll thicken up.

It sounds healthy.
Some of my best crops have had strong rhyzomorphs as you've described.
Great job!

My friends equadors started with thick solid little balls of mycelium. Is that a sign of health?

Mycelium takes many shapes and forms. Sometimes little wisps. Sometimes strands. Sometimes little balls.
If it continues to grow without signs of contamination, just enjoy the show.

How long do you say you normally wait for the thai strains to colonize .5 pint & 1 pint jars with WBS?
My penis envy & creeper colonized rapidly, although my thai saumi super strain in 2 inoculation/incubation periods does not colonize during this time. The spores are all brand new & from a reputable site and all the other spores I received were GREAT.
I'm worried about the thai, don't want to throw away good jars; although don't want to risk contamination from the thai's or just waste time inoculating jars that won't colonize.
Please help.

why bring back 10 different threads from years ago with the same question? give it some time to get an answer, you will get one just give it some time...you're basily spamming the board.
