Without helping each other we wouldn't be here.

From the moment we are born we rely on others.

I for one, try to help people, and tend to want to make the world a better place.

Sometimes I do question why...

We're not doing pretty good, we haven't done a single thing in our whole existence to help the earth.

the earth is doomed with or without humans. what we need to do is look above and head towards the skies, advance to the final frontier and explore space.

as far as "saving the earth" how is that even theoretically possible? in order to do so we'd have to get the message out to 100% of the humans on this earth, not only that but they would have to listen and be willing to make the change.

Even on a local level, all my fellow humans are trying to cunt me as much as possible.

Please elaborate?

Are you pointing towards some type of massive natural disaster?

Shit, I meant terrorism against the environment, not terrorism in favor of the environment.  I do my part in cutting the rainforests down one foot at a time, OK?  :crankey:

I really think that George Carlin sums up saving the planet quite well.

"The planet is fine, The people are fucked."

well think about it, even if it's not a nuclear war or corrosion of the ozone to end this earth there's many possible ways this planet can be destroyed.

theres obvious ones like how the sun will only burn for so long before it blows this solar system to hell and back. there's always the possibility of an asteroid slamming into the earth and putting an end to us all.

plus there's already been one ice age that we know of, this alone is proof we are susceptible to various kinds of disasters on this earth. history is our best teacher and we know for fact that dinosaurs once roamed this earth....where are they now?
we are just as vulnerable to extinction as every other living organism.

I dont see any harm in clearing a city to make room for a forest.

This world isn't worth saving.

Maybe if I actually cared about the majority of other humans, but I don't.

Isn't that sad? I can't even feel empathetic for my own kind. From my personal experiences I have come to the conclusion that most humans are dumb fucks and are not worth saving.

There are some real gems out there, and Ghandi is a great example. But lemme tell ya, this world aint full of Ghandis

I'm in the same boat.

I don't think everyones a dumb fuck, that's irrelevant for me, I just don't have any empathy for other humans

That was actually a very logical and easy to understand article on the phenomena.
