PF Redspore... Bulk...Uncased...NEAR-FULL CANOPY!!!

Background information; I've been trying, to grow PF Redspore, in bulk, well, for about 4 months now.
I was also surprised, at how few grows on bulk, I can find, of PFRS. In the past, I made up 6 QT shoebox trays, multispore, cased, 50/50+, like I do most any other race of cubes, and it would end up horribly. Very much like Albino Penis Envy. (which, by the way, in my experience, ALSO prefers uncased - it would seem.)
So, after trying several different PFRS stock (some from Spore Works, others from fellow Shroomery members), I finally went ahead and cloned a BUNCH of fruits, off of... I guess they would've been Spore Works stock, MS PF cakes. I made up a shitload of clones, via Fahtster's cloning technique, 86ing the H202, and oven bag, opting for a glovebox, and proper sterile technique, instead . So, now I have a bunch of different clones, all with goofy names. This particular clone is "Dave Mustaine," although I should've named it "Megadeth," considering how many damned strains are in this thing. I'm cleaning it up on agar as we speak.
So, yeah; uncased, PFRS, clone, "Dave Mustaine," on manure-based substrate , colonized in filter-patch bags, and crumbled into a 12 QT tray, this time. And, without further ado...
Here's what they looked like, about 12 hours ago:

...and here's what they looked like, this afternoon, before harvesting most of them:

What little space isn't covered with caps, is covered with pins about to mature!
...I think I've figured out how to grow PFRS on bulk now
I'll be updating this thread, with final weights and such, and definitely more pictures.
Update#1, the 2nd half, of the first flush

I like redspore a lot..Nice grow. I didn't get as of a pinset but I got a couple ounces from a flush...Most fruits were like 8g dry. Nice job.
Check the link in my sig for some redspore pics. (Near the end of the thread)

Good to hear! Yeah, PF Redspore is my favorite 'strain,' definitely. Only, I didn't have much luck with bulk... had to grow them on cakes. Let me tell you, though; it was, by far, the easiest cake to grow! Dunked, rolled, didn't matter. I'd get like a 1/4 oz, a cake, on the first flush! If I didn't mind inoculating dozens and dozens of cakes, with 4 inoculation points each, it might be worthwhile.
So, how do you grow your PFRS, usually? (edit: nevermind. I see you haven't really had a chance to grow them much, yet. Be sure to clone )
Also, I hope CH Hell gets in on this thread. I'm pretty sure it was Hell, who had a picture of PFRS on agar, not too long ago...

That's EXACTLY what my PF Redspore looked like, when I grew it MS, cased. I don't understand it. Actually, the entire surface was COVERED in these mega-fat pins, but nearly all aborted.
All of the clones of PFRS, I got off of cakes.

Yeah. I recently re-did my humidification to my greenhouse. I used to have a 5-gallon reservoir hooked up to my Kaz coolmist humidifier, but I have yet to hook it up to my new Vick's coolmist.
I always run a coolmist, with an ulstrasonic fogger, with the fogger on events, or running 24/7, depending on the age of the trays (later flushes consume water more slowly.)
However, for about a day, at the most crucial time, my water levels got too low, and it shut off the fogger completely. (coolmist still running, maintaining 96% or greater humidity, fortunately.) I don't know about you guys, but for me, running a coolmist only doesn't cut it; my abortion rate goes up way higher, and my caps get all crackly like that.
Honestly, I hope one day to grow a successful monotub. However, I have a suspicion that it can't happen well, in dry, high altitudes. I'm thinking of making up some, automated monotubs , but that's kind of different, I think.

Ouch! These strains don't seem to sporulate very heavily (literally, the strains that make up the "Dave Mustaine" clone, I mean). However, the grow that I cloned "Dave Mustaine" from, produced quite a few strains that did.
I didn't bother printing any of these, since I have so many clones now, and a few prints of PFRS here and there. (from like 4 different people, actually. Pretty sweet ) I cut off a bunch of the caps, though, so that they wouldn't sporulate all over the place, if they happened to try and do that. It's strange how uneven it matured. It was like two different flushes, in the first!
I wouldn't mind a sterile PFRS strain, so long as it fruits like "Dave Mustaine"
Whoa, that lame-ass rhyme was totally unintentional!

So, I've been unmotivated to upload more pics. But, I did, finally, get around to uploading the rest of the harvest pics. Yay! I haven't gotten a final weigh-in on the first flush. However, It looks like it's going to top 3 oz!

...and check out what the 'redspores' did to the dunk water!

I have some more harvest pics somewhere, I think. Did you check out that cross-sectionally-cut stipe? Just like Penis Envy, solid through and through. However, these sties are definitely not as dense; it was like harvesting mushroom marshmellows!
Yeah, great 'strain.' Great 'strain.'
