cardbord agar plates ?

looking in Mycodirectory v4.0 under, Sterile Culture and Mycelial Culture\Agar Work, i found this link

which seems to be dead .

i then went to theforestfloor.org and did a search and found nothing .

Q.1 any info on this ? it would seem like a good way to start a wild spore print .

Q.2 is this tek only for wood lovers ?

stupid Q. could sterilized tofu be used for agar ?

I often use cardboard with peroxidated agar, it works great.

i am still curious about tofu though, the ol'lady keeps trying to feed it to me .
it's taking up space in my fridge, i figger that shit's gotta be good for somethin'.
im gonna give it a try . :laugh:

experimentation is the key that opens previously unopened doors. that being said, I would not expect it to work since tofu is primarily protein and lacking in simple sugars which spores/mycelium eat.
