Worms/Maggots in my brown rice cakes during colonization

I put some wild caps that I found on top of my rice cakes for a few hours to let them drop some spores onto the cakes... Now a few days later, I see worms EVERYWHERE in the cakes. The jars are about half white, but now they have little wiggly bugs in them - what should I do? Is there a way to get them out before I move the cakes to the grow chamber? Thanks in advance!

Toss them, start over with a spore print. Don't throw a cap in your jar.

You can try peroxide, doubt it though.
You can aim a magnifying glass under the sun at each individual worm.
You could start over (probably work the best)

Would a short session in the microwave kill the worms?

Toss that shit out and next time, follow proper procedure. You might find these brf tek videos helpful. RR

I was sort of joking when I said to use peroxide or a magnifying glass, without a doubt you must toss them.

I have a fun story to tell :p so, I found a patch of A.Muscaria back in october. I brought a friend with me to see them, it was really dry for like a week, so a few of the caps looked like they were almost cracker dry. My friend took out his knife and cut off the cap. He took a bite out of it after telling the creek/trees thanks. After taking a bite, he saw the cap was infested with maggots, he then put the picture together and spat that shit out....it was fucking nasty...never eat mushrooms that are still in the ground, they for sure (unless veil didn't break) have maggots in them....but taking a cap and putting it on your cake? You need to post pictures of that...it's so funny I don't believe it.

I've read that the worms are harmless to eat (good protein), but that their droppings could potentially carry bacteria that will upset your stomach...
If I let them grow, would I just get wormy mushrooms that I could put in a blender?
I'll post pictures in the next reply!

They don't call it 'fly agaric' for nothing.

It's actually called fly agaric because it was used as insecticide. OP, you're still considering birthing those cakes?? Dude, you DON'T want maggots in your cakes, nothing would grow or it would be full of worms! You really want to eat that? As everyone said, TOSS that shit and start again following normal sterile procedure.

so far you have asked the same question 4 times (nice first 4 posts) and been given the same answer a bunch of times... you then posted a picture and asked once again what to do

you need to be 18 to post here having some sort of reading comprehension also helps, as its mostly text based to answer your question: throw out the cake. start again and do it properly or dont do it at all.
if you ask one more time whether there is some way you can get shrooms off the cake you must be a retard or something

That has to be one of the most vile contaminants I've ever seen. I know molds I've grown are probably way worse for you to breathe in compared to eating that whole jar of maggots, but just looking at that makes me have to supress my gag reflex.
