 Did I screw up my substrate?

After looking more online, I feel as though I may have screwed up. I made my BRF + Verm mix, then topped it off with a layer of Verm. However, I poured the water on the top of the final layer of Verm...I didn't mix it in with the substrate.
Do you think the water will have seeped down enough to make it work or will colonization most likely fail?

Damn. Well after looking at my jars, there are wet areas so I might be in luck. I think when I sterilized the jars it boiled over a little too much and more water got into the jars.
I'm crossing my fingers.

You will waste a lot of time and effort if you keep those man. STARTOVER. Do you really want to wait 2 weeks to a month to find out you should of started over?

Seriously though, I can't start over. Would I be able to open the jars, remove the top Verm layer and replace it with dry Verm or would that be too much of a contamination risk?

Damn dude. The tek is very simple, and the whole thing is available on YouTube and mushroomvideos.com. I'm not sure why you didn't follow it to a T, but you're the only one to blame. I doubt you'll get ANYTHING other than contamination. Not trying to be a downer, I'm just trying to be real. Get a new syringe and do it right.

Look, I don't need guilt trips. I followed the Magic Mushroom Growers Guide on THIS SITE and it didn't specify when to add the water. All I need to know is if this can be salvaged in any way.

Did you stick with the ratio when you added the water or was that in addition to? The dry verm layer isn't very important as long as your super sterile I'd turn em a bit to distribute that water evenly and roll with it, why not?

I'm saying go with it, weirder things have happened...Nature doesn't pasteurize poop when it decided to top it off with spores and from the way it sounds, everything was done correctly aside from the fact you may have burnt your substrate or just not sterilized it as well being that the steam in the jar I think plays a major role when it's being sterilized.
If you've nothing else run with it, just don't expect much if anything.
