How do you sterilize a used syringe?

What is the proper way of sterilizing a used syringe after use? I was wondering if it could be wrapped in aluminum foil and pressure cooked.

I usually just wash them with antibacterial dish soap, then boil them for about a half hour. Afterward I heat the needle point to red hot and then wipe the syringe down with rubbing alchohol. I never had contam problems doing it that way.

Fill the syringe with boiling water and expunge after it is cooled. Repeat 2-3 more times and you should be good. For the needle tip flame sterilize then wipe with isopropyl alcohol.

there are several ways.

I like to suck some alcohol into my used syringes right after using them and then let them soak for a few hours then squirt the alcohol out.
Heat up some water to a boil and suck in some boiling water and squirt it out....repeating about 4 or 5 times.
The last time you can leave the water in and let it cool down in the syringe.
Or you can put the syringe in aluminum foil and pressure cook it.

This may sound un-orthodox but it works great for me. Fill the syringe with water and microwave till you see the water boiling in the syringe. I do this a couple of times. I also place a coffee cup in there full of water and use that boiling water for my last draw of sterile water..hence a very sterile syringe. I`ve never seen any sparks or electrical arc to the needle yet....lol,must not be enough metal to bother the oven.... I`ve made over 20 syringes this way and not one bad one yet
