I know this belongs in the tech forum but i need a fast answer.
if a person hacked a wifi network, faked a mac address of a computer that uses that router, sent a spoofed email from a hotmail smtp server wouldn't it be undeniably from that person?

"Undeniably"? Meh. If you did it just right, it would sure look like the victim sent it. But that doesn't mean they can't deny it. And if it goes to court, who is going to look more innocent- you or her?

Well I'm just wondering if there's a way that can be shot down in court in some way. But if it comes from that IP addy, and the persons MAC addy, theres not much that can be said, especially if the wifi router has a password, if its an open network its still from that MAC/IP addy so its still perdy good.
I'm just wondering if theres any flaw in this idea.

I think the flaw comes in actually doing it perfectly, not so much the basic concept.

Yes. She says, "Your honor, I didn't do this." and blinks her big blue eyes. "He did it to make me look bad", she says, and points at you.

You would need her hotmail password... Do people seriously still use hotmail? I thought we gave that up in 1998.

Haha, well thanks for the info, but if the email is traced back to the IP, goes to the the ISP, then is traced further to the mac addy of the computer this person is using, then wouldn't that be hard evidence?

Ever hear of a jury? I doubt that anything digital is 'hard evidence' to most people. I wouldn't consider it so.
Why not just move on, drink some beer, and forget about her? Stalking = jail time.

Why would it be anything else?
If this was a business attack, you wouldn't have to ask- you'd have the skillz.

Actually yes, its a girl, I'll just say it is to keep clowns like you entertained. Shroomery is going down hill and its people like you that make it this way. one year and 11 000 posts, that's sad.
When you've been here for more then 2 years, I'll consider your opinion seriously. So if your going to go on like this do it in another forum, I'm looking for serious answers, not dumb ass newbie comments.
As for the skills, its not hard to use backtrack 3 to exploit a router and change ur mac addy and telnet to access a smtp server.
