New to Kratom, need advice

Until recently I was taking d-amphetamine (as prescribed) for ADHD, but it started making me super depressed and super anxious when it wore off to the point where I had to stop taking them and am now on a heavy regimine of SSRIs and mood stabilizers. There is no question in my mind that amphetamines are terrible for my mental health (plus I have diagnosed Major depression, OCD, and Generalized anxiety disorder.)
So I've been drinking coffee to study (doesnt work as well, obviously.) and it also gives me some anxiety. I was reading that Kratom had anti-depressant and anti-anxiety effects as well as stimulating effects. So I'm looking to buy some Kratom but I'm completely new to Kratom. How much should i take to study? how should I consume it? do i need to make tea or something? do they sell it in capsuls? is Kratom too psychoactive to study on? Which is the best shroomery sponsor to order from?
any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Deadmau5 is sick. That's basically all I can add to the topic.
But I want to try Kratom sometime. Sounds pretty cool. In your situation though, I'd leave off the drugs for a bit, that might make you feel better.

Yuck... Kratom is not a favorable drug to study on. It has stimulant effects in low doses, but it's not better than caffeine in this regard. If you don't like coffee, maybe try guarana or ephedra? If you still want to investigate kratom : Pronounced effects require higher doses and at that point, it's all about opioid sedation. In combination with very little weed, they can be quite intoxicating and in my experiment (with a very large dose above 10grams) led to a state of zombified, blissful nodding. Pleasant, but i found it extremely disgusting as well. Not only because of the taste (which you can mostly work around by parachuting it; this makes it come up only on occasional burbs). I just thoroughly disliked the numbed state i was in. I have not much to compare it to, i can only say that it works "better" for me than bromazepam, but i'm not a big fan of downers. Most opiate users seem to find it too weak, though. If you fall somewhere in the middle ground between a dedicated morphinist and me, you could still give it a try for relaxation purposes, but make sure to check out erowid's kratom vault before, it does have some long-term effects that sound a bit...problematic. If you want to buy some, try to get fresh leaves from an Asian food store, they are said to be more potent than the dried kratom sold by online vendors.

yeah, i just did a little research after you said that its similar to opiates. I dont think Kratom is a very good substitute for caffeine. i have an overwhelming fear of opiates, and i dont think i'd feel comfortable taking it if it interacts with opioid receptors.
I think I'm just gunna quit all (recreational) drugs. maybe that'll make me feel better and i can get back to taking amphetamines. the only recreational drugs i do now is weed (everyday) and xanax every now and then, but you never know. maybe recreational drugs are degrading my mind.

I've recently tried dried kratom leaves, and a while back I experimented with a small amount of extract.
In my experience 8-12grams of the dried leaf gave me a stimulating effect akin to a mild mdma trip, with some euphoric/empatheogentic components. It lasted not more then 3 hours, but was great to communicate on, clean the house, including problem solving and stimulating mental tasks. (not to mention curbed boredom)
but the redoseability failed to work very well, and I had to wait at least an entire day before I could really reach the same level without having to take double the dose. (I weigh 98kg by the way)
Anything higher then 15 and I would really begin to feel sedated/stoned/relaxed.. Was very enjoyable to mix with weed, and small amounts of alcohol with lower doses.
The taste isnt that bad, quick to disapear if you chug it down, but the burp smell is kinda wierd/off..
I'd prefer finding a good extract, so not as to have to take so much, or if it does show addictive qualities in your use, stick to the dried leaf, cause having to choke down so much plant matter may help sway your endevours.
Trip on, and trip safe.

If I may, one could always change the perspective of what they consider their drug use.. How they use it.. For Recreation? As a crutch? Entheogenic/Self Discovery? as an Escape?.. becoming clear on your intentions is what's important, but also knowing how they are effecting you..
I'm almost always one to advocate exploring Mushrooms/DMT in the privacy of ones own Set and setting with close loved ones, or alone.. And find that it always imrpoves my body, mind, spirit, life.. (if sometimes a rough and challanging journey)..
Just my few sense

Yeah, I used to use drugs just for fun, but its become a sort of crutch. I have a lot of painful mental problems and have noticed I am uncomfortable in my head. I get high off of various substances for relief from the symptoms of my mental illness. I cant remember the last time i fell asleep sober. I'm not addicted to anything (besides cigarettes) but i'm definitely somewhat dependant on marijuana.
But this stops today.
No more recreational drug use. Atleast for a while. Just my prescribed meds, cigarettes, Kava Kava, and a little bit of xanax when i need it for my anxiety.
I'm hoping I can find another way to cope with my mental pain in meditation. Or maybe these SSRIs will start working. idk. The best feeling i've ever had IN MY ENTIRE LIFE was the first time I took mushrooms. I broke through and felt love for everything, as i realized i was not an individual, but part of a whole. haha i remember crying i felt so happy. I was told i can (eventually) get to this point again through meditation. I hope thats true. Even if it takes my whole life to get anywhere near this feeling again, it'll be worth it.
