I got laid by a Christian yesterday, the first Christian I've ever made it with, and I confess, I was being prejudiced (I always imagined it would would be a prudish screw). Oh God, I was wrong! Tongue n' hands moved all over me as quick as bolts of summer lightning! Inspiring!

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

Christian girls are just too cute, especially the mormon girls around here.  They look cute and innocent, but they're demons in bed, just waiting for a chance to be let loose.

You haven't said anything here that I don't already understand.

"In the view of true Christians, Jesus is the literal fullness of God in the form of man."

Yeah, that's what they think. It doesn't make it so.

I don't think you understand why a lot of people think that religion is goofy. I know there are lots of dumb atheists out there. In fact, I think atheism is just as ridiculous as Christianity. It is a belief that there is no god. I am an agnostic, which means I don't believe either way.

It seems pretty damn likely to me that the entire bible is just a work of fiction, and I have seen no evidence to the contrary.

I noticed in your post that you equate God to man. By equate I mean that you see God in terms of man. A few examples: talking with God, God has desire, God gets displeased or angy, etc... Is this view of God being in man's image part of Christianity, or any other religions for that matter? I mean no offense or disrespect here; my wording may not be the best.

I'm sure there are Christians who would say that you have it wrong(let me guess they must be the dumb ones :smirk:).

Your version of Christianity is not the only version and it certainly isn't the "True"(faith is subjective) version.

As Nietzsche said, "There was only one real Christian, and he died on the Cross."

Anyone who sincerely tries to follow the example of Christ is a true Christian in my eyes, and worthy of tremendous respect. I think Nietzsche exaggerates: there HAVE been such people through history. Unfortunately, very very many people who have called themselves Christians over the last two millennia have had very different things in mind.

I would also add that God's mercy is just as powerful as His anger.

I wish you luck in your spiritual journey.

"Just like you can anger your friends or your boss or your girlfriend/boyfriend - and you have to apologize and talk things over, so it is with God."

And you're SURE this isn't a complete waste of one's time? I used to pray n all that; I was raised Catholic... and I've found that praying and "talking" to 'god' doesn't do anything. It just APPEARS to do something when somebody prays often. 1 out of 200 prayers could finally "come through" and that person will be thankful to whoever they prayed to for answering their prayer..

I could do something very similar by simply sitting down at a blackjack table.

1. You think of God Almighty, therefore God Almighty exists to you.
2. I want you to tell us what the person said to make you put this in your post.
3. Jesus is in the bible, and everything else you wrote is in that same book.
4. I must admit the idea of God is really powerful, because it makes people like you Enter sound delusional.
5. It's all in your head.
6. Have you ever disagreed with what the preacher was preaching?
7. Dumb and stupid are more like opinions for people who aren't like you.

Sorry i know i could of writing something better. I have too much negativity when someone starts going on about religion.

Thoughts come and go, just like each of our lives. Enter you are like the rest of us who want to know the truth. You chose to accept Christianity. Most of us here didn't.

What i think.

1. Religion eliminates possibility... bla bla bla... One thing i strongly believe is that there is no right or wrong way to think/believe.

2. Get two people who call themselves Christians together to have a discusion on their beliefs. They turn out to have different views... bla bla bla ... Plain and simple. There is more then one view.

3. You accept the words from the bible and give them your own meaning... bla bla bla... What i do believe is that "God" comes from within.

Do i really need to go into each of these?

Peace and Goodnight!
Droz

I lurk around the boards a lot and usually respect what you have to say, but that statement seemed foolish, in my opinion. If I were to ask you if you believe in unicorns, you would probably say "no". We cannot be certain whether or not unicorns really exist, but most of us disbelieve in something until proven otherwise (kind of like "innocent until proven guilty"). I guess God must be the exception...

The literal translation of the word agnostic is "lack of knowledge". Keeping that in mind, I see no reason why an atheist (one who disbelieves in or denies the existance of God), cannot be agnostic as well.

I know you probably didn't mean this as a flame but stop and think how others might take this. I'm not asking you to walk on eggshells but remember that being nice is better than not being nice.

I can see this subject is sensitive to you. If it really bothers you then you did pretty good by just saying what you did.

Cheers,

"If I were to ask you if you believe in unicorns, you would probably say "no"."

Yeah, and if you asked me if I believed in God, I would say no, and if you asked me if I beleieved there was no god, I'd say "no" as well.

"The literal translation of the word agnostic is "lack of knowledge". Agnostic. Keeping that in mind, I see no reason why an atheist (one who disbelieves in or denies the existance of God), cannot be agnostic as well. "

Well, the literal definition of agnostic is "One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.", or "One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.", while the atheist outright denies the existance of god.

You have it all wrong (The truth about Christianity)

Gee, we ALL have it ALL wrong? But you have it ALL right? No arrogance there!

Here is the real truth about Christianity:

Christians are highly judgmental and very self-righteous.

Christians rationalize violence, divorce, adultery, lying, theft, etc.

There are no miracles and prayer doesn't work.

I particularly love it when you say that you can't judge the teacher or teachings by the followers. Bullshit! As a racquetball instructor and personal trainer, I am proud of my students/clients as they STAND OUT from the crowd! They are examples.

Christianity looks pretty normal at glance. It's like most religions...morals mixed with mysticism...

I've read several parts of the bible, where does all these bad qualities (some of) you speak of, actually come from?

Wrong again. While someone who denies the existance of God is considered an atheist, an atheist isn't necessarily a person who denies the existance of God.

In the view of true Christians, Jesus is the literal fullness of God in the form of man. There is no other person who shares the full Spirit of God in his/her body. Only Jesus had this.

Can I make a suggestion?

Maybe Jesus fully remembered that he was a part of God all of the time, while the rest of us mortals are on the road to remembering that we are God?

The term delusional was not really what i meant. I did not mean it in a bad way.

The way i see it is... he is like jumping to conclusions on the truth because he wants answers like all of us. Well if i could explain it better i would. Never do i aim to make anyone feel bad and what not. But hey i am young and was typing what i thought.

Communication is so complex. If i could say the words right the first time i would.

It's this whole communication over the internet thing. So easy to misunderstand one another. Not like in person isn't bad enough. Hehe.

I wish everything could be "right".

Peace,
Droz
