newb grower, cobweb?
    #1183749 - 01/01/03 09:19 PM (22 years, 20 days ago)

this is my first time growing and i`m not too sure about this one. kinda looks like cobweb. i`ve seen a lot of pics of cobweb and some look similar to this, but some don`t at all. it is in every one of my substrate jars at the innoc points. it started out really grayish in color, but it is starting to turn whiter. it doesn`t look very "ropey" like i`ve heard it should. i used orissa india to innoc and i did this in 6 1/2 pint jars with pf tek. i i innoculated them on x-mas eve and the growth just started vey sudden and rapid at the innoculation points about 4 days ago. if you need any more info about them to try to figure this one out, just lemme know and i`1ll tell ya whatever i can. i should have some pics for ya tomorrow night tho.

sounds like cobweb to me. my friend just lost some half colonized jars to it. first starts grey lighter, then gets darker grey/white, and grows extremely fast. if your jar is colonized in a few days its probably cobweb, but youll know when you open it, if its healthy, there will be a pleasant shroomy smell, if not-probably contaminated. good luck.

Let them be for now.
Cobweb mould in PF jars is rare.
Mycelium that grows at innoculation points is very fine until it gets a good 'footing' so it can look grey. I bet in a week they will be full of white myc.

Then again I may be wrong, and you have cobweb mould

Keep us updated.

it is? my friend has lost about 5-6 jars due to cobweb inside the jar. then again my friend thinks the syringe was contaminated, or got contaminated some how cause the first jars inc flushed fine.
