First time grow, feedback wanted

Hey, its my first time signing up, but i've been lurking for awhile.

I just ordered the PE6 10cc Syringe from Ralphsters and here was my whole plan for my first grow. I wanna make sure I get a good flush.

1. Inoculate then incubate Sterile 1/2 Gallon Rye Grain Jar.
2. Transfer into smaller jars (Based on this guide)
3. Prepare casing with 60/40 Verm/Coir Casing Mix. Colonized substrate on bottom, casing mix on top.
4. Mist and fan in the fruiting chamber until ready to harvest.

Of course I didn't mention being sterile, the rubbermaid tub, foil trays, etc.

I feel like I've got it all down, but I just want you guys to make sure so I don't waste my money.

If youve got all your info down im sure you could do it, Im just digging my cakes right now man, grains intimidate me lol.

Are you ordering thos jars from that site? Man, that is way pricey.
I think half gallon jars are going to give you trouble, they are hard to colonise.

It is a pretty big waste of money, for that money you could get boo coo supplies for DIY grows.

Do a PF tek grow for your first time. You can do it for pretty cheap and you will learn a lot.

Yeah, I don't have a PC so I was planning on buying a pre-sterilized jar from a trusted vendor. The half gallon is way cheaper than buying half pint jars.

Plus I really don't wanna go for cakes.
