Well finallly oh yes finally tonight i am going to pick my first mushroom, the veils have just now begun to tear away so tonight i trip! yesss but anyways my light sourse were the like white christmas lights about 5 hours a day, and yes they do work... wa ha ha ha i created mushroom!

I find that lights are totally unimportant.......I use no lights at all and get brilliant pinsets.....the only light that is present is just the room light that has found a way into the cupboard and thru the clear top of fruiting chamber.

the only bad thing about having no fixed light is that the mushrooms grow all over the place and not straight up.

which is exactly why most of us use lights. I too use xmas lights. they are great since you can route lights to sevarl areas with just one strand and the btter ones are extremely waterproof.
