Peeps what would u recomend for the first time? I can go with a Print from the FSPE for a little under what $1. Or i can go with the good old $10 syringe from the various suppliers.. I know that i can probably get more than one syringe from the print but is it really that easy?

easy enough man I got my first spores from a print somebody on the shroomery gave me but I made the whole print into 1 syringe and it worked great.

I just read the Psilocyber's Syringe Tek.. I hear some peeps say that from one print they can make serveral syringes and some peeps say 1 print per syringe..
What are some of your thoughts!?

It's all good no matter how many you choose to make it's just when using a whole print to make a syringe it's likely that you can cut colonization time way down.

I say go with a syringe, that way you know its sterile (if its not, most vendors are more than happy to replace them) Making a sterile syringe can be difficult, especially if this is your first time.
Save up 10 bucks
Buy a syringe
Grow some mushrooms
Take prints
Trade prints
Make syringes

Personally, I would start with the syringe. Making the syringe is easy, sterilizing your work area can sometimes be difficult.

For a first time I would strongly recommend a syringe. The fewer things you have to worry about the first time around the better. With a print you have to worry about making a clean syringe. If you get contamination you will not know if it came from the syringe or something else. The first few times out do everything you can to keep it simple. Once you have a feel for contamination and clean techniques then there is no reason not to move to prints. (Sometimes the syringes you get from a vendor will be contaminated as well, but this seldom happens.)
As far as how many syringes you can make from a single print, the answer is several million or more. If you are trying to isolate a single growth on agar, you only want a few spores per plate. With millions of spores per print... well, you do the math.
In reality, you can make anywhere from one to several syringes from a single print. The more spores you get in a syringe, the faster the colonization times for multispore innoculations. It is a tradeoff, just like everything else in life.

The Little Guy is great. He gets the syringes to you in 2-3 days. Other vendors I've ordered from were a guessing/waiting game.
I would go with a syringe for your first time. As everyone else pointed out, less things to worry about.

first time doing anything, using a print. im going to do some serious sterilizing in my kitchen before proceeding (running the hepa in there for 72 hours before hand, not smoke in the house, sterilize compulsively for 3 days over and over, alcohol - bleach - spray lysol - clorox wipes - ect, face mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, clean clothes, showering before hand, ect).
this is my first time doing ANYTHING. like i said, plan on making my own syringes. has anyone here ever done this before? should i expect contamination in my syringes? do i have a potential rate of failure or is this type of thing easy?

I would start with SEVERAL syringes from a reputable vendor. Less chance of a screw up, along the way. Once you have experiance, making syringes is fine.
