Kake,
Thanks for the tip. I am currently using a similar method (just without the dyed perlite) and i notice that the shrooms somtimes grow towards the perlite. It tends to be a problem when the fungi begin to touch the perlite or curl ect. Thanks

You could also have a seperate container with the perlite and use a air pump to move to humidified air to your grow chamber. Plus you don't have to fan all the time.

I bleach my Perlite and use it over and over again. I've had batches of shrooms growing mycleium into the bleached perlite and it didn't seem to affect them. Besides, bleaching it insures that no contams are on or in it.
