BS Pennington vs. Hatrz? WHich one is better?

I went to me neighborhood friendly wal mart and got these two types of bird seed to see which one you guys agree is better. Pennington is much much much cheaper and comes in bigger bags but the parakeet seed from hartz looks promising.

Pennington Ingrediants:
White Proso Millets
Milo
Wheat
Sunflower seed
Calcium Carbonate

Parakeet Seed:
Millet seed
Oat groats
Canary grass seed

Peningtons, you said it, its cheaper and comes in a bigger bag. That's all I've used, and I'm not looking for a new kinda seed.

I would have to agree that Penningtons is excellent. I haven't had anything but great results from it. I do recommend that you soak the seed first - to wash the Bird-Kote off, allow bacteria to germinate, and add a bit of moisture before PCing.

Yep thanks, I guess im going to wal mart and exchanging the other stuff and getting a bigger pennington bag :grin:
