You can feel the Christian love oozing from this man. Televangelist Pat Robertson said Wednesday that earthquake-ravaged Haiti has been "cursed" by a "pact to the devil."
"Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it," he said on Christian Broadcasting Network's "The 700 Club." "They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you'll get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it's a deal."
Robertson continues "ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after the other."

Believe it or not, I heard a couple people say these kinds of things today in Miami. One teacher cackled after saying "Well, God hates Haitians," and HE teaches non-English speaking kids including Haitians. I talked to one crying girl who was convinced that her mother was dead on the island. I had to convince her not to create fearful thoughts and then respond to those thoughts emotionally AS IF they were fact. I got her to suspend that internal self-beating for a while...until she hears one way or another.

I did a thread here years back about my niece's Christian College in Tacoa Falls, GA. When the Tacoa Falls damn burst drowning several teachers and students, it was a test from God.
But if a calamity occurs somewhere else it is a punishment for evil choices.

looking at the wikipedia article on Haiti I don't see any mention of a devil pact 
A bunch of French troops did die from yellow fever, but everyone knows the devils color is red. Unless... perhaps the devil was wearing a yellow disguise!
