I love baseball because it represents AMERICA. But as far as entertainment value goes, I think it's shit.
Oh yeah, by the way, I haven't heard anyone say this yet - but we should start calling him Mark McLiar! hahahaha

I used to liek baseball. Cant really stand watching it anymore. I say they should all take sterioids and make it a full contact sport... I would start watching that again....

Who gives a shit if some asshole shot dope before he hit home runs. They didnt take Doc Ellis' no hitter for trippin! I think its all fair game. We can't take advances in modern whatever and apply them to history. likewise i think we cant say that someone cant use a technology for record. Football records set in leather helmets can be broken with their new gear. Is this not the same?

Not the same. In this case, EVERYONE is wearing new helmets. The fact of the matter in Mark's case is that not EVERYONE uses steroids, which puts him at an unfair advantage relative to his colleagues, which means that records (which are measures against colleage's accomplishments - both past and present) that he broke during times of such an unfair advantage are moot.

Also, as a person with an irish last name i think it was shitty to spell Mc Mg! He was a red headed irishman. the least you can figure is his name starts with an Mc or an O'. His obviously has an Mc.

All people who believe that steroids are considered cheating (regardless of the sport) are just pharmacological retards. Using steroids takes discipline, scientific knowledge (human anatomy), and hard fucking work - more work required than if you were not to take steroids and train.
People don't understand this, because just like people still believe Cannabis is dangerous, the same dogma spreads with every other drug. The lack of education on these subjects is what makes people frown upon the use of such drugs.
Using steroids is hard work, it's a vigorous process, and still doesn't mean you get a free-ride from training hard. I don't advocate the use of steroids or pro-hormones to anyone who isn't 25 and over, but still, it annoys me that people are so ignorant on these subjects. Then people wonder why these athletes, for the most part, don't give a shit when they come out and say they used steroids. They don't care, because they know the majority of the fans, and the public view in-general; will never change (short of some drastic "drug re-education program" sweeping the nation).
I don't love Baseball like you, but I can appreciate hard work. People don't realize how hard it is to go from 175 lbs. @ 11% bf (body fat) to 225 lbs. @ 7% bf. Steroids don't do the work for you, they just help assist the process. Hopefully, some day, people will realize this - most 40-50-60-etc year olds probably could benefit from some sort of "steroid treatment" (or a cycle of some sort) at least once every couple of years.

Then you should be asking people why they believe the use of steroids is considered cheating - I bet you will find most of the reasons they give you is because they are under the impression that it makes it easier or they do the work for you.
They don't enhance performance, they allow you to break the genetic barrier (a wall that every athlete eventually comes to).
Everyone takes steroids in all sports, you just don't realize it. It's only an unfair advantage when the people lie about taking them.
My view isn't wrong, it's based on the knowledge of steroids and the people I've seen use them properly. Which is why your view of the entire topic is biased, do you know about steroids? Do you know the people who use them properly? Do you understand the pharmacological aspects of steroids and the benefits of them?

Exactly, even in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's. Since there were sports competitions, there were steroids - just because you didn't know, doesn't mean they weren't being used yet. Ask the Olympians of the 50's that used steroids...

IMO, they all did it in the 90's, half in the 80's, some in the 70's, amphetamines before that. It's been mostly clean for the last 5 years or so.
